The commissioner, Eric Daoust, is in charge of the daily operations of the NAHL. He has the final say in any rule change or rule addition. He also must keep the league webpage up to date and make sure all teams have a GM.
The league webpage contains all the information a GM needs to maintain his team such as season standings, injury reports, scoring leaders and game boxscores. The content on the webpage is updated at least once a day.
The commissioner is also responsible for ensuring that every team has a GM. When a team is vacant, he will do everything in his power to put the most deserving candidate available in charge of this team.
The vice president of operations, Pat Campeau, gives constant advice to the commissioner to ensure that his decisions reflect the well being of the league.
The league is composed of 20 individuals who assume the role of general manager of their respected teams. These GMs edit lines, make trades and draft prospects, among other assignments.
